I had a complete hip replacement at the King Edward VII Hospital by a very prominent surgeon and team including a competent registrar and an experienced Doctor. Prior to which the surgeon recommended that I attend Saint John & Elizabeth Hospital where I was attended by a meticulous doctor who made sure that I was in good condition for my forthcoming operation. I was very satisfied and pleased with all the staff and the way I was treated. I was very apprehensive when I was discharged as I felt incapable and had to conform in many different ways so as to recover.
Springdene Clinic was recommended to me prior to my operation which I booked before going into hospital. On arrival at the Clinic my first impression was the cleanliness and of how I was so well received. Springdene continued where the hospital had left off, not only as a rehab clinic, but a must for patients that need on going care with qualified nurses and carers. My room was comfortable and leading onto the garden. I wanted for nothing and found everyone knowledgeable in how I had to be treated and nursed back to a complete recovery.
Most important was the Physio department which also had a Hydrotherapy pool. The unit is staffed by caring and experienced personnel who, not only put you through your paces, but are very understanding of your needs. I found everyone at Springdene to be very efficient and very professional. In the time I spent there my confidence grew and my courage was built up to enable me to cope at home on my own at the end of my stay. I would not only recommend the King Edward VII Hospital but also Springdene Clinic and suggest it to be essential after care.
